A lot of good info is flowing in about the up and coming world of warcraft 4.2 patch. As always mmo-champion is the place for all the latest data mining madness but if your a lazy sort like myself then here’s the “initial” PTR 4.2 patch notes snagged directly from the official dev. blog. I might actually be excited about this if I was still addicted to the WoW crack but I, thankfully, have moved on to stronger more potent e-drugs.
If you have interest in participating in the Cataclysm beta then make sure you head over to the battle.net beta opt in page and download the beta opt-in application (PC/MAC) to send your system specs to Blizzard. Beyond being able to sign up for Cataclysm you also have the choice of opting-in for Diablo and Starcraft related releases which is a nice perk. The NFL draft order (being overly simplistic here) essentially gives the teams with the worst records the first picks in an attempt to create greater competition for the next season. So, what would happen if they completely reversed this, and gave the best performing teams the first shots? Well, you’d have something very akin to what you have in WoW arenas. A large majority of the 2k+ teams got up to their current rank sometime back in February at the beginning of the season and stayed there playing only minimal games to remain active.
